Join us as we chat with the incredibly talented Racheal Sarra, a contemporary Aboriginal artist from Goreng Goreng Country. We discuss contemporary indigenous art, the lack of indigenous education in Australian schools, and how art can express identity and belonging.

Rachael Sarra is a contemporary Aboriginal artist from Goreng Goreng Country. Rachael uses art as a powerful tool in storytelling to educate and share Aboriginal culture and it’s evolution. Rachaels work often challenges and explores the themes of societies perception of what Aboriginal art and identity is.
Recently, Rachaels work ‘Two Worlds’ was projected onto the William Jolly Bridge and she was an artist in this years Brisbane Street Art festival. Rachael was also the lead artist for the Queensland Firebirds Indigenous dress, a collaborating artist with Life Apparel, and Brisbane based jewellery designer, Concrete Jellyfish.
