Ruby Rare is a sex educator, artist, and body-positive champion. She’s on a mission to engage people of all ages in positive conversations about their pleasure. Her work is influenced by her experiences as a queer, non-monogamous, dual-heritage woman. Until recently, Ruby worked at Brook, the UK’s leading sexual health charity for young people, where she managed a National period equality project. She facilitates events for adult audiences about non-monogamy, porn, sex toys, pleasure, and has spoken at Women of the World, Summerhouse Festival and on BBC4’s Woman’s Hour, and has been featured in Time Out, Huffington Post, MTV, and Pink News.

Our guest this week is Becky Dann, a London-based photographer we first discovered on The Undateables, a British TV dating show which follows people living with disability. Becky chatted to us about; navigating dating apps, the limitations of sex education, and how Becky used photography to find confidence in her body.

Becky Dann is a 26 year old Photography graduate from the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, Surrey. Best known for her photography project ‘I’m Fine’. Outside of photography, Rebecca appeared in Series 8 & Series 10 of The Undateables on Channel 4 and was a model for the 2018 Make Up Revolution Conceal and Define ad campaign.

This week we chatted to sex-expert Sam Jones from smutbuttons.com to talk about why sex literacy is important.

Sam Jones has worked across the sex industry in brothels, strip clubs, porn studios and sex toy stores. She’s worked with magazines, political parties and lobby groups and most recently OMG Yes.

Smut Buttons is a sex education website that looks at the different issues surrounding sexual identity, sex toys and the intersection of mental health and sex.
